A Somers Nest is a proposal for the shutters regeneration along Chalton St, Somers Town. As part of the scheme, the local shopfronts would be used as canvases for a series of site-specific murals. Such intervention aims at creating a welcoming environment in the local area, making art more accessible to all social groups and providing platform for the emerging talent to be seen.

A Somers’ Nest is inspired by the neighbourhood where it resides, a place shaped by generations of migration. The bird-like creatures, standing as both friends and guardians, symbolize this movement—just as birds migrate, so too do people. Their act of carrying food represents the nourishment that migration brings, both physically and culturally. We all bring our own metaphorical fruits to the table, enriching the communities we become part of.
